Around two thousand years
ago, an army of soldiers went through a kingdom, killing all male infants
of a certain age. The reason? The king's astrologers had "seen"
that a threat to the king had been born.
A man, to-be king of a country, in full command of his senses, commits patricide,
regicide, matricide and a few random homicides at one stroke. The reason?
The queen's astrologers had "seen" that his father would die if
he got married to his sweetheart before he was thirtyfive - leading his mother
to threaten to to cut him off from the succession if he did get married before
that.
And of course, in the largest democracy in the world, it seems to be the most
natural thing to do to elevate astrology to the level of a science by making
it part of the curricula of state-run universities.
Cheers.
