Folk tales are an integral part of all cultures - starting from the fables that are told to children by their mothers to myths, legends and stories that tell a proverb. So vast and varied are these tales that they constitute a form of literature by themselves. They also allow a peek into the behaviours and attitudes of the people who tell them. Here we present retellings of folk tales from around the world.
