The Rascally Rabbit
Go to Zine5 Interactive

Once the rabbit got a job as a cowherd. A man entrusted all his cattle to the rabbit to look after. But the rabbit sold all the cattle to some passing cattle merchants. Then he took some hollow gourds and tied them to the tops of the trees. He went to the owner of the cows and told him that theives had driven away the cattle. The man took the rabbit along with him to look for the cattle. The wind, when it passed through the gourds, sounded like cattle mooing far away. Hearing this, the rabbit told the man that the cattle must be a long way off and sent off the man after them. When the man had gone a long distance, the rabbit made his escape.
