Upon a slumberless night, I closed my eyes to view
the majestic beauty, and to feel the tranquility
of the peaceful, mysterious, moonlit black blue.
Sprinkled across the heavens were glittering speckles of light,
that exploded in brilliance and gave true meaning to a star-studded night.
Orion clung to the sky and only with my imagination did I see
this valiant warrior protecting the heavens and all within his scope that's meant to be.
The moon timidly hid behind darkish-white amorphous entities,
yet set the sky in a blazing inferno of bluish flames with blatant fury.
The wind wildly whistled through the willows and stirred the leaves to life,
while specter-like shadows seemingly slithered, and in me, filled fantastic fright.
White sands were swept by the oceans waters,
while wave crests glistened and gleamed in moonlight beams.
