Lonesome
Go to Zine5 Interactive

The moments lap over one another,
as I wait for the dawning day,
How I wish we were together,
Sadly, it has ended this way.
The wonderful times spent with each other;
Come as dreams to haunt me,
If I'd have loved you less, I would not bother;
But my heart still belongs to thee.
Everyone says it will not last,
This emptiness I feel today,
Then why the tears that run down fast,
Have a totally different story to say?
You have left me alone in this world,
To suffer the stares of unkind men,
You were more precious than jewels or gold,
But you abandoned me even then.
Today as I stand here crying,
at the foot of your grave, sweetheart,
I know I would be lying,
If I told you I too will not depart.
Strech your arms toward me,
Let me feel them around me tight,
I am leaving this world to join thee,
We will be one tonight... every night.
