Life is a rough road!
When I took my baby steps,
You were there to hold my hand!
When I went to school,
You were my chauffeur!
When I wanted to see the city lights,
You were my chaperon!
When I went to the bank,
You were my financier!
When I wanted to play,
You were a good sport!
When I went to the library,
You were my teacher!
And when I wanted to sleep,
You were my storyteller!
Life is a rough road;
When I took my baby steps,
You were there to hold my hand!
And I walked out on you!
Your arms were wide open,
When I wanted to walk back into your life!
Life is a rough road;
You were my friend, my driver, my escort
You were my candyman and my guide!
Today you have become my philosopher!
Life is a rough road;
You have just taught me yet another "first in life":
The courage to shun a darker perception of death;
To see death as a natural end;
In Your Death
You have just taught me another "first in life"
The courage to shun a darker perception of death;
To see death as a natural end;
Finally, I am at PEACE with LIFE!
An elegy for my uncle, which has not followed any strict grammatical
rules, but only my emotions.
