I recently read that President Bush's twin daughters got into a spot of trouble for trying to buy alcohol when they have not attained the legal age to do so. Last year Tony Blair's son was picked up totally wasted. The soon to be Crown Prince of Nepal, Paras, is known for mowing down people when he is drunk, drugged or otherwise. The sons and nephews of our many politicians (whatever be the power they wield) have been in trouble with the law for rape, acid attacks, drugs, hit and runs etc. I'm not being sexist its just that I have not heard of the daughters and nieces being in trouble as yet.
Sudhakaran, the over-grown adopted son of Dr.JJ, has been arrested for possession of drugs, weapons and attempted murder. But we must forgive him for being ignorant of the law because mommy dearest, the Honourable Chief Minister, herself a convicted felon, is proving to be way beyond the law.
If your parents are in the spotlight by default so are you. So if anything, you need to behave more responsibly than your peers. Why let the entire nation and sometimes the world, know that you are a twit? One of the Bush twins actually tried to present the bartender a fake ID. The bartender simply called the police. Obviously he didn't think it was cute and being a practical man was more concerned about his liquor license.
What prompts youngsters whose relatives are in positions of power to commit acts of felony? Is it that they seek attention in whatever form it comes? But they can't all be neglected children. Or is it that they wish to prove that they are above the law. They must realize that there is only one Dr.JJ. Or is it that they possess the intelligence of an amoeba. Seems the most plausible reason.
