A Child's Plea

Go to Zine5 Interactive
You moulded me
The way you wanted
You made me walk
In your footsteps
You made me talk
As you liked me to
You made me do
What you chose
You made me live
In a world so closed
And in doing so,
You killed my spirit
Without any care
You crushed my heart
With no remorse
You held me captive
To you I was
The only child
And you thought
You were doing your duty
I have no complaints
But I only wonder
With all my heart
If I'll ever get a chance
To be the way I want
Will you for once
Let me be me?
Not always...
But just once... oh, please!
This today is my plea...
Grant me this and
I shall ask for no more.
