If I Were God for a Day

Go to Zine5 Interactive

If I were God for a day,
From the world I’d take away
All hatred and ill feelings
And eradicate all sinful dealings

I’d wipe off all traces
Of discrimination, casteism and races
I’d remove religious prejudices
And break all weapons to pieces

I’d destroy the nuclear bomb
And celebrate kindness with pomp
I’d get rid of greed
And to me, make men pay heed

I’d liberate the world from cruelty
And give everyone equal opportunity
I’d make people hard working and sincere
And rid them of worry and fear

I’d make everyone equal
Not a soul will remain dull
I’d make the world a better place
By showering it with all my grace!

I’d fill everyone’s heart with love
So, God, make me God now!
Not forever, but for just a day
And see how I make the world so gay!"
