Some are amicable
and intimate
They understand the way we feel
They are reliable and always there to
Comfort us, so our wounds may heal
Some twaddle away
to glory
And chatter us out of our woes
We must candidly acknowledge God for
Granting such precious friends and no foes
Some sojourn with
us occasionally
And inquire about our well-being
At times, they attempt to succor
And to our wellness they keep seeing
Some come in attractive
packages
But are a trifle hollow within
Nevertheless they are our close ones
And with them, the journey we begin
This journey called
life is full of them
They are our friends, pals and chums
All of us love them and value them
'Coz they help us take life as it comes.
