Glen limped out the
restroom, his eyes still searching for the Queer. "Where did he go?"
Glen wondered.
"Oh, here you
are!"
"Hi" said
Glen. The trolley seemed to be overflowing with cans, bottles and plastic
bags.
"Got everything
except that Creed CD and your medicines," sighed Maggie.
Medicines; Glen fell
back into reality again. He reached into his pocket for the prescription.
The prescription was more like a monthly shopping list.
Diazepam, smirked
Glen. 3 different drugs to speed up his healing, a painkiller, an antacid,
one antibiotic and one multivitamin and calcium tablet.
"Diazepam,"
chuckled the man behind the counter and proceeded to examine the prescription
carefully. Done, he went in and brought some 8 boxes with him. "Here,
that'll be $ 213.60."
Glen walked into
the music section of the store.
"I'm Real,"
cooed Jennifer Lopez and some hoarse rapper grunted to the lazy beats
in the background.
He found what he
wanted and was to go about pay for it when he spotted the t-shirt. 'I'm
not as think as you drunk I am' it declared.
"That's a real
funny tee you got yourself Glen." Maggie was to compliment him later.
It had been snowing
outside. It was Glen's first snowfall this season.
"It's chilly,"
Maggie complained.
"Snowfall!"
said Glen and felt the snowflakes on his face.
