Every budget brings welfare schemes
Where the money goes nobody knows
The Minister grins, the partymen thump,
From seats to ministry they want to jump.

The Minister now recites his poems
Then comes to the Ad valorems
Taxes the poor, spares the rich
Poor should be poorer, richer the rich.

In every budget the middle class is taxed
They want to see our income slashed
Is this the result of globalisation
Thrust on us by another nation?
