I cannot really describe myself as a writer or author, at least not as a natural or serious one. I do believe writing has to be a "spontaneous outpouring" which will not be curbed by lack of time or any of the other reasons that I keep giving myself whenever I try to write. I hardly ever write though there are many facets that life throws up which intrigue me, sadden me, amuse me, gladden me and goad me to record them for some future pleasure and speculation.
But I have to say, once I do manage to write about something, it gives me a sense of thrill - you never know what shape your thoughts and emotions will take until you finish. Then there is a feeling of huge relief - so I can claim my work is some kind of outpouring, maybe not spontaneous but definitely deepfelt and close to my heart.
